DELIVERY & HANDOVER
Winning a brand-new campervan or motorhome is a life-changing moment. This page covers everything that happens between the draw and the keys being in your hands, so there are no surprises and you know exactly what to expect.
After the draw
Every Campervan.Win draw is independently verified to make sure the process is fair and transparent. Once the draw has taken place and the winning entry has been confirmed, we move straight into contacting the winner.
We aim to contact the winner within 48 hours of the draw using the details provided at the time of entry. For online entries, this will be by email. For postal entries, we will try email first (if provided) and then follow up by post if needed.
If we cannot reach the winner within the timeframe set out in our Terms of Service, the prize may be forfeited and a replacement winner drawn. We will always make multiple reasonable attempts before taking that step.
Winner verification
Before we can release a prize of this value, we need to verify a few things. This is standard practice for high-value prize competitions and protects both you and the integrity of the draw.
We may ask you to provide:
- Proof of identity (such as a photo ID)
- Proof of address (such as a utility bill or bank statement)
- Confirmation that you meet the eligibility requirements in our Terms of Service
We will only request what is reasonably necessary, and all documents are handled securely in line with our Privacy Policy. Verification documents are deleted once the process is complete, unless there is an active dispute that requires us to retain them.
Arranging delivery or collection
Once verification is complete, we will work with you to arrange delivery or collection of your prize. The exact process depends on the vehicle and the manufacturer, but here is a general outline of how it works.
Delivery to your door
For most prizes, we arrange professional delivery to a UK mainland address of your choice. Delivery is carried out by specialist vehicle transport providers who are experienced in handling brand-new campervans and motorhomes.
We will confirm a delivery window with you in advance and do our best to accommodate your preferred dates. You (or a named representative) will need to be present to accept delivery and sign for the vehicle.
Dealer collection
In some cases, we may arrange for you to collect your prize from an authorised dealer. This can be a great option if you want the full "new vehicle" handover experience, including a walkthrough of the vehicle's features and systems. We will cover any reasonable travel costs associated with collection where applicable.
Handover day
Whether your prize is delivered or collected, the handover will include:
- A full inspection of the vehicle to confirm it matches the prize specification
- A walkthrough of key features, controls, and systems (where a dealer handover is arranged)
- All relevant paperwork including the V5C registration document (or confirmation that it has been submitted to the DVLA)
- Manufacturer warranty documentation
- Any accessories or extras included with the prize as described on the competition page
We want handover day to be a great experience. If you have any specific requirements or questions beforehand, just let us know.
Registration and insurance
The vehicle will be registered in your name. You are responsible for arranging insurance before taking delivery or collecting the vehicle. We cannot release a vehicle without confirmation that appropriate insurance is in place.
Road tax (Vehicle Excise Duty) will be arranged for the initial period where applicable. After that, it becomes your responsibility to maintain road tax and insurance as the registered keeper.
What the prize includes
The prize is the vehicle as described on the competition page, including any specified accessories or extras. Unless specifically stated otherwise, the prize does not include:
- Ongoing insurance
- Road tax beyond the initial period
- Fuel
- Aftermarket modifications
- Storage or parking
If a cash alternative is offered, this will be stated on the competition page. Where no cash alternative is mentioned, the prize is the vehicle only.
Timescales
We aim to complete the full process from draw to handover as quickly as possible. Typical timescales are:
- Winner contact: within 48 hours of the draw
- Verification: usually completed within 7 to 14 days, depending on response times
- Delivery or collection: usually within 4 to 8 weeks of verification, depending on vehicle availability and manufacturer lead times
Some vehicles are ordered from the manufacturer specifically for the competition, which means lead times can vary. We will keep you informed throughout and give you realistic timelines as soon as we have them.
Winner publicity
We may ask if you are happy to take part in winner publicity, such as a photo with your new campervan, a short video, or a quote we can share on the website and social media. This is completely optional and covered in our Terms of Service.
If you prefer not to take part in any publicity, that is absolutely fine and will not affect your prize in any way.
