This policy applies to your use of the website and any interaction with us connected to it, including:

  • browsing pages and content
  • creating or using an account (where available)
  • entering competitions (paid or free routes)
  • using checkout and payment features
  • contacting customer support
  • submitting content, comments, reviews, images, or any other material where features allow it
  • interacting with our marketing, adverts, tracking links, and emails (where applicable)

It also applies to any attempt to access our systems indirectly, including via scripts, automation, scraping tools, or third-party services acting on your behalf.

Core principles (what we expect from users)

We expect you to use campervan.win:

  • lawfully
  • honestly
  • fairly (including fairness to other entrants)
  • respectfully (including respect for staff and other users)
  • without attempting to exploit, disrupt, or manipulate competitions, website features, pricing, or security

If your behaviour undermines fairness or security, we may take action under this policy and our Terms of Service.

Your responsibilities

By using campervan.win, you agree that:

  • you will provide accurate information where required (for example contact details for entries and winner contact)
  • you will keep your account credentials secure (if accounts exist) and not share access with others
  • you will not attempt to gain an unfair advantage in any competition
  • you will not interfere with the operation of the website or competitions
  • you will not use the website in a way that harms others, including through harassment, fraud, or deception
  • you will comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Prohibited activities (detailed list)

You must not do any of the following. This list is intentionally detailed and includes behaviour that is common on competition sites and needs to be addressed clearly.

1) Unfair entry behaviour and manipulation

You must not attempt to gain an unfair advantage, including by:

  • using bots, scripts, automation, macros, browser automation, headless browsers, or “click farms” to enter or interact with entry systems
  • using any service that enters on your behalf using automated methods
  • creating multiple accounts (where accounts exist) to bypass entry limits or restrictions
  • using multiple identities, false names, or misleading details to bypass limits or to create the appearance of multiple independent entrants
  • entering on behalf of someone else without their knowledge and permission, especially where it could affect winner verification
  • coordinating with others to mass-enter in a way intended to exploit mechanics or overwhelm systems
  • attempting to exploit free entry routes to create unfair volume by duplicating entries, reusing templates that do not meet requirements, or evading eligibility checks
  • attempting to influence, predict, or manipulate winner selection beyond legitimate entry methods

We may cancel or disqualify entries where we reasonably believe an entrant has attempted to manipulate entry systems or bypass entry limits.

2) Fraud, deception, and unauthorised payment activity

You must not:

  • use payment methods you are not authorised to use
  • use stolen cards, compromised accounts, or third-party payment credentials
  • submit chargebacks or disputes dishonestly (for example claiming “unrecognised transaction” when you did authorise it)
  • attempt to exploit refund processes, chargeback windows, or “friendly fraud” tactics
  • attempt to submit entries and then reverse payment with the intention of keeping entries valid
  • provide false information during winner verification (including forged or altered documents)

If we suspect fraud or misuse, we may suspend your account and entries, investigate, and share relevant information with payment providers, fraud prevention services, or authorities where appropriate and lawful.

3) Hacking, security abuse, and system interference

You must not:

  • attempt to access any part of the website or systems you are not authorised to access
  • attempt to probe, scan, test, or circumvent security measures (including login protections, rate limits, bot detection, CAPTCHA, or access controls)
  • attempt to exploit vulnerabilities or “bug hunt” on live systems without prior written permission
  • attempt to obtain data belonging to other users
  • attempt to alter, delete, corrupt, or interfere with any data, including entry records, draw logs, or competition content
  • introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code
  • attempt denial-of-service attacks, traffic flooding, request storms, or anything intended to degrade website availability
  • use reverse engineering, decompilation, or similar techniques on the website software except where permitted by law

If you find a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to Policies@campervan.win. Do not exploit it. We may take action against anyone who exploits vulnerabilities or attempts to publicise them in a way that increases risk.

4) Data scraping, harvesting, and misuse of content

You must not:

  • scrape the website, competitions, pricing, entry mechanics, or winner content using automated tools without permission
  • harvest email addresses or other contact details
  • build databases using content or data from campervan.win
  • use the website in a way that violates privacy laws or infringes the rights of others
  • attempt to access or infer other entrants’ identities, entries, or personal data

We may use technical measures to detect scraping and may block suspicious traffic.

5) Misuse of customer support, complaints, and communications

You must not:

  • harass, threaten, abuse, or intimidate staff or other users
  • send defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise unlawful messages
  • repeatedly contact us with the intention of disrupting operations
  • submit knowingly false complaints or provide false evidence
  • impersonate another person when contacting support
  • attempt to pressure staff into bending rules or providing confidential information

We can refuse to engage with abusive communications and may restrict support access where behaviour is unreasonable, while still meeting any legal obligations to respond.

6) Content you submit (where features allow submissions)

If the website allows you to submit content (such as messages, images, reviews, or comments), you must not submit content that:

  • is unlawful, defamatory, misleading, or fraudulent
  • contains hate speech, harassment, or threats
  • infringes intellectual property rights (for example uploading images you do not have permission to use)
  • contains personal data about someone else without their permission
  • contains malware, malicious links, or phishing content
  • is pornographic or sexually explicit
  • promotes illegal activity or harmful behaviour

We may remove or moderate content at our discretion, and we may report unlawful content where appropriate.

7) Impersonation and misrepresentation

You must not:

  • impersonate Campervan.Win, Analogue.media, or any staff member
  • claim to be an official partner, winner, agent, or representative when you are not
  • misrepresent your identity during entry, support contact, or winner verification
  • submit someone else’s details as your own

Impersonation may lead to account suspension and referral to relevant parties if fraud is suspected.

8) Circumventing restrictions and enforcement

You must not:

  • attempt to circumvent bans, suspensions, entry limits, security blocks, or other restrictions
  • use alternative accounts, identities, devices, networks, payment methods, or automated tools to evade enforcement
  • encourage or help others to bypass restrictions
  • interfere with our ability to investigate misuse (for example deleting evidence after being asked to provide it)

9) Interference with competitions and integrity

You must not:

  • attempt to tamper with competition pages, draw mechanisms, entry lists, or winner contact processes
  • attempt to obtain insider information about the draw, the winning entry, or other entrants
  • attempt to bribe, coerce, or influence staff or contractors involved in administration
  • spread knowingly false claims about outcomes in a way intended to mislead others or harm the integrity of competitions

We may take action to protect the integrity of competitions and may publicly correct misinformation where appropriate.

10) Unauthorised commercial use

You must not use campervan.win for unauthorised commercial purposes, including:

  • using the site content to build a competing product or service
  • reselling entries or running syndicates without our written permission
  • using our branding, trade marks, or content in ads, promotions, or social posts in a way that implies affiliation, endorsement, or partnership without permission

Accounts, access and security (if accounts are available)

If accounts are available, you must:

  • keep your password confidential and choose a strong password
  • not share your login details or allow others to access your account
  • notify us if you suspect unauthorised access
  • accept that we may require additional verification for security purposes in certain circumstances

We may suspend or restrict accounts that appear compromised, are used for abuse, or are linked to fraud.

Monitoring and enforcement

To protect the website and ensure fair competitions, we may:

  • monitor activity for security and misuse detection
  • use rate limiting, bot detection, and fraud-prevention tools
  • investigate suspicious behaviour and patterns
  • request additional verification where proportionate (for example to confirm eligibility or prevent fraud)

We do this in a way intended to be proportionate, and we handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy.

Actions we may take if you breach this policy

If you breach this policy or we reasonably suspect you have done so, we may take actions including:

  • warning you
  • temporarily restricting access to parts of the website
  • cancelling or voiding entries linked to misuse
  • suspending or closing your account (if applicable)
  • blocking certain devices, networks, or payment methods linked to abuse
  • withholding prize fulfilment while we investigate eligibility or suspected fraud
  • requiring additional verification before allowing further participation
  • refusing service where permitted
  • reporting suspected criminal activity to relevant authorities
  • cooperating with payment providers, fraud prevention services, and regulators where lawful and necessary

Where appropriate, we will try to act fairly and proportionately, but we also prioritise protecting entrants and competition integrity.

Effect on entries and prizes

If we reasonably believe entries are linked to prohibited behaviour, we may treat those entries as invalid. If the conduct relates to winner selection or verification, we may treat a selected winner as ineligible and select an alternative winner in line with the competition rules.

Appeals and contacting us

If you believe we have made a mistake (for example your entry was blocked unfairly), you can contact us at Policies@campervan.win. Please include:

  • the email address used on the website
  • the competition name and any order or entry reference
  • the date and time of the issue
  • any error messages or screenshots (where relevant)

We will review the information we have and respond as reasonably as possible.

Third-party services and links

If you use third-party services or platforms in connection with campervan.win (for example social media), you must also comply with their rules. We are not responsible for third-party platforms or how they operate.

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the website, new threats, or improved fairness and security measures. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
